Police raided a ' bầu cua' (a Vietnamese gambling game) den in a private residence.
The police have just busted an illegal gambling operation involving the game of "xóc bầu cua" (a Vietnamese dice game) with money at stake, seizing evidence totaling nearly 200 million VND.

This is the largest amount of money seized in a traditional gambling case ever discovered and handled by the Criminal Police Department.
Earlier, at 5:10 PM on March 21st, based on information from the public and through investigative work, law enforcement officers inspected the residence of Phan Van Cuong (residing in Ward 3, Ai Tu town, Trieu Phong district), and discovered Cuong and eight other individuals engaging in illegal gambling.

The individuals caught red-handed included: Hoang Le Tuan Vu (born in 2000), Le Van Hung, Phan Thanh Nam (both born in 1993), Nguyen Thanh Duc (born in 1994), all residing in Ai Tu town; Pham Van Long (born in 1977, residing in Trieu Thanh commune); Nguyen Ngoc Anh (born in 1990, residing in Trieu Long commune); Nguyen Cao Vuong (born in 1991) and Nguyen Thanh Phuong (born in 1994), both residing in Trieu Thuong commune, Trieu Phong district.
At the scene, law enforcement officers seized nearly 195 million VND, which was identified as evidence used by the suspects for gambling.
The police have drawn up a report of the crime in progress, temporarily detaining the suspects along with related evidence to facilitate the investigation.
