The Russian delegation will be waiting for Ukraine in Istanbul on May 15th.

According to RIA Novosti, Russian President's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said the Russian delegation would wait for Ukrainian representatives in Istanbul, Türkiye.

"Our delegation will be there and waiting for the Ukrainian side," the Russian President's press secretary told Rossiya 1 journalist Pavel Zarubin, in a video posted on his Telegram channel.

However, Peskov did not disclose the composition of the Russian negotiating team, nor did he specify when the meeting would begin.

"I can't. When we receive an order from President Vladimir Putin, then we will carry it out," Peskov explained.

Additionally, the press secretary declined to comment on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's statement about a desire to meet the Russian leader in person, noting that "one should only assess statements made by President Putin."

Reuters, citing sources, reported that President Donald Trump's special envoys, Steve Witkoff and Keith Kellogg, will travel to Istanbul to attend potential talks between Russia and Ukraine. Accordingly, Trump's envoys will only observe the dialogue between Moscow and Kyiv.

Just before that, Mr. Witkoff had listed the main topics of a possible meeting: territorial issues, the status of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, Ukraine's use of the Dnepr River, and access to the Black Sea.

A Turkish diplomatic source told RIA Novosti by phone that everything is ready in Istanbul for talks between Russia and Ukraine. According to the source, the talks will be held behind closed doors, without a press conference.

The source also declined to say whether the Turkish side would implement any enhanced security measures ahead of the upcoming talks, only stating: "Security will be ensured."
