The prisoner from Nghe An province who escaped from prison has been arrested.
Escaping from the Ministry of Public Security's detention camp, Thanh stayed in the forest, finding leaves to eat to stave off hunger for 2 days.
On the evening of November 6, Lieutenant Colonel Do Ngoc Trong - Warden of A2 Prison (Ministry of Public Security) said that Cao Dang Thanh (30 years old, from Nghe An), who escaped from the prison 2 days ago, was arrested.

At 7:40 p.m. on November 6, dozens of police officers surrounded and arrested Thanh while he was hiding in the forest in Dien Khanh district (Khanh Hoa), a few hundred meters from A2 prison.
"For the past two days, he hasn't gone out but just stayed in the forest, looking for leaves to eat to stave off hunger" - Lieutenant Colonel Trong said.
According to records, Thanh was sentenced to 10 years and 9 months in prison for a series of crimes:Robbery, Theft, Resisting Law Enforcement OfficersandEscape from custody.
After lunch on November 4, this prisoner escaped from the prison in Dien Lam commune, Dien Khanh district. The warden discovered and chased him, but he ran into a nearby forest to hide, then disappeared.
Dozens of police from many forces in Khanh Hoa joined the search, blocked many roads and issued a wanted notice for the escapee.
