(Baonghean.vn) –On the afternoon of September 13th, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting.Provide feedback on the Draft Decision on assigning responsibilities and coordinating in state management of food safety in Nghe An province.

Comrade Dinh Viet Hong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired the meeting. Also in attendance were representatives from relevant departments and agencies.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee instructed the relevant departments to urgently finalize the draft assignment of responsibilities and coordination in state management of food safety.

The draft was developed by the Department of Health, the Department of Industry and Trade, and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Nghe An province, based on Joint Circular No. 13/2014/TTLT-BYT-BNNPTNT-BCT guiding the assignment and coordination in state management of food safety.

The draft Decision on assigning responsibilities and coordinating state management of food safety in Nghe An province consists of 3 chapters and 26 articles, basically reflecting the spirit of the entire socio-political system working together. The draft clearly outlines the responsibilities of several departments, agencies, and the district and commune governments; highlighting the role of information dissemination and raising public awareness.

The regulations on the assignment of responsibilities for state management of food safety, which are about to be issued, will clearly define the responsibilities of each department and agency, especially in inspection and monitoring.

At the meeting, representatives from various departments and agencies focused on providing feedback to develop and refine the draft, notably proposing additional responsibilities for the Department of Construction, specifically regarding the planning and arrangement of centralized markets and slaughterhouses.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Dinh Viet Hong highly appreciated the coordination of the departments and agencies, noting that the opinions contributed clarified and further elaborated on the missing and inconsistent content in the draft. Accordingly, the title of the draft will be standardized, with a focus on ensuring that the analyzed and supplemented provisions are appropriate, based on the principles of conciseness, clarity, avoiding overlaps, and ease of understanding.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee instructed the relevant departments to urgently finalize the draft, ensuring high feasibility and effectively meeting the practical requirements of current food safety work, so that it can be approved in the next steps and issued and implemented soon.
