Phan Văn Đức is at risk of missing the match against Saigon FC.

SLNA has had a relatively good start to the season. After the first three rounds of the V-League 2022, SLNA won two matches against Becamex Binh Duong and HAGL, and lost one match against Binh Dinh. With 6 points, SLNA is temporarily ranked 3rd in the standings, level on points with second-placed Viettel but having played one more match.

In Round 4, SLNA will travel to face Saigon FC – the team currently second to last with only 1 point after 2 matches. This is a good opportunity for SLNA to secure another victory and continue climbing the standings. At present, the team from Nghe An is considered far superior to their opponent, even though they will be playing at Thong Nhat Stadium.

Yesterday afternoon, March 9th, SLNA held a training session at Phu Tho Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City to prepare for this match. The atmosphere on the training ground was extremely cheerful, with everyone in a relaxed and enthusiastic mood. After warming up and getting familiar with the ball, SLNA divided into teams for a short practice match in the middle of the field for a few minutes. Following that, SLNA moved on to tactical exercises.

Towards the end of the session, coach Nguyen Huy Hoang focused on training his players in finishing. SLNA scored 4 goals in 3 matches – not a bad number, but not good enough either. The team from Nghe An could have scored more goals if their strikers had made the most of their scoring opportunities.

Notably, during this training session, striker Phan Văn Đức had to train separately. He only jogged to maintain his fitness and did not participate in the exercises planned by his teammates. Văn Đức's face appeared relatively tense.

In the match against HAGL on March 6th, Van Duc scored a spectacular goal with a long-range shot from about 25 meters. However, immediately after scoring, Van Duc was substituted off the field. Not to rest for the next match, but because he had a muscle strain. He was forced to leave the field and has not yet trained with the rest of the team.

This has caused fans to worry about Phan Van Duc potentially missing the upcoming match against Saigon FC. At the club, the Vietnamese national team striker is in good form with many impressive performances and spectacular goals.

The match between Saigon FC and SLNA will take place at 7:15 PM on March 13th.
