(Baonghean.vn) – After scoring against U21 Myanmar in the previous match, striker Phan Van Duc continued to have a good game against the younger U19 Vietnam players with his effective attacking support.

In the 3rd minute, amidst a chaotic situation following a corner kick in front of the Vietnam U19 goal, Ngoc Son neatly finished to open the scoring for Vietnam U21.

The difference in class meant that the Vietnam U19 team could only hold out until the 40th minute. A precise pass from Van Duc allowed Trieu Viet Hung to easily increase the score with a dangerous shot. The first half ended with two quick goals conceded to the Vietnam U19 team.

In the second half, despite their best efforts, the Vietnam U19 team played rather ineffectively and disjointedly against their older counterparts, the Vietnam U21 team.

In the 61st minute, Thanh Bình scored with a shot into the empty net of the Vietnam U19 team, helping the U21 team extend their lead to 3-0. The assist for Thanh Bình came from none other than Phan Văn Đức, a very energetic player on the left wing.

Just seconds after conceding three goals, Vietnam U19 narrowed the gap with a successful finish from substitute Viet Cuong. In the 62nd minute, Thanh Binh scored with a header to make it 4-1 for Vietnam U21.

In the final minutes, the Vietnam U19 striker had several opportunities to narrow the gap but failed to convert any of them. Vietnam U21 secured a 4-1 victory, thus opening the door to the final of the tournament. As for Vietnam U19, if they want to play in the third-place match, they must defeat Thailand U21 in the match on December 20th.
