France concerned about Russia's reaction to Ukraine's request
The leader of the French Patriotic Party is concerned about Russia's reaction to Ukraine's request to transfer Russian assets to Kiev.

According to RIA Novosti on November 10, the leader of the French Patriotic Party Florian Philippot said on social network X that implementing the request of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to transfer frozen Russian sovereign assets to Kiev could lead to a strong reaction from Moscow.
Earlier, the Ukrainian leader demanded that about $300 billion worth of Russian assets frozen in the West be transferred to Ukraine in case the US stops financial aid to Kiev.
“He only asked the EU to pay Kiev 300 billion in frozen Russian assets! This means theft, leading to war with Russia and a strong response,” the leader of the French Patriotic Party wrote on the social network X.
According to the politician, France should stop funding Kiev as soon as possible and refuse to get involved in the conflict in Ukraine.
"Stop Zelensky!" – Mr. Florian Philippot called.
Shortly after, the official spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commented on President Zelensky’s request. Ms. Zakharova warned the European Union of the “extremely painful” consequences of transferring assets to Ukraine and recommended seizing the assets of Mr. Zelensky himself and Ukrainian oligarchs.
In an article in Foreign Policy magazine, commenting on President Zelensky's request, Harvard University professor of international relations Stephen Walt said that Americans would lose all interest in supporting Kiev if the winner of the US presidential election - Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed on the division of territory and the neutral status of Ukraine.
“If Russian President Vladimir Putin agrees to the division of territories and an independent Ukraine, abandoning his ambitions for NATO, most Americans will simply turn the page and turn the page on this case. And will take credit for ending the conflict,” said Professor Stephen Walt.
According to Professor Walt, Donald Trump will most likely try to shift the burden of supporting Ukraine to Europe. The former president will not use his influence among Republicans to push through plans to finance Kiev in Congress and may simply deprive the US of support for Ukraine. At the same time, as the expert emphasizes, American voters will fully support the decisions of the new president.
