A few hours ago, Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve requested an extraordinary meeting of European Interior Ministers on November 20th. He emphasized: "The fight against terrorism needs to be intensified at all levels, especially in Europe and the world."

Responding to this call, the President of the European Union decided to convene an emergency meeting with the 28 Ministers of Home Affairs and Justice of the member states on November 20th. The meeting aimed to “strengthen Europe’s response capabilities and ensure the implementation of the measures put in place.”

Luxembourg's Deputy Prime Minister Etienne Schneider declared: "Faced with barbarism, faced with terrorism, Europe needs to unite and stand alongside France."
