Two businesses fined for failing to meet food safety and hygiene standards.
(Baonghean.vn) - Two establishments were fined by the inter-agency inspection team of Nghe An province on the morning of September 22nd: Ding Tea bubble tea shop and Dai Duong Restaurant.
In accordance with Decision No. 4173/QD-UBND dated September 12, 2017, of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, from September 15 to October 15, the inter-agency inspection team of the province on ensuring food safety during the Mid-Autumn Festival will conduct inspections of food production, processing, trading, import establishments and food service businesses in the province.
On the morning of September 22nd, a joint inter-agency inspection team conducted surprise inspections of two food service establishments in Vinh City.

At the Ding Tea beverage store located at 01 Mai Hac De Street, owned by Viet Trung Co., Ltd., the inspection team discovered that the store did not have a certificate of food safety compliance as required by regulations, violating point C, clause 3, article 24 of Government Decree 178/2013/ND-CP dated November 14, 2013.
The inspection team has drawn up a record of administrative violations regarding food safety, and is expected to impose a fine of 25 million VND on Viet Trung Co., Ltd.

At Dai Duong Seafood Co., Ltd., located at 161-163 Le Nin Avenue, the inspection team found that the restaurant lacked measures to ensure environmental hygiene, did not separate the restrooms from other sources of pollution, and the food storage area did not meet safety and hygiene standards.
The restaurant violated points A and D, clause 2, article 21 of Government Decree 178/2013/ND-CP dated November 14, 2013. The inspection team issued an administrative violation report on food safety and is expected to fine Dai Duong Seafood Co., Ltd. 16 million VND.

Earlier, on the afternoon of September 21st, the inspection team also checked the confectionery production facility of Nguyen Manh Thieu, located at 264 Nguyen Van Cu Street, Vinh City, and found that the facility did not comply with regulations on food preservation, food additives, and food processing aids as declared by the manufacturer. The team plans to fine this confectionery production facility 4 million VND.
