Attending the launching ceremony were representatives from the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Mass Mobilization Department, the Provincial Journalists Association, and media agencies in the area.

At the launching ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Quang Tung, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the competition organizing committee, stated:The purpose of the competition is to diversify methods of disseminating information about the work of the Farmers' Association and the farmers' movement; to raise awareness of the responsibility of all levels, sectors, and society towards the peasant class. At the same time, it aims to recognize and honor the contributions of the Nghe An peasant class to agricultural development, the construction of new rural areas, and civilized urban areas.

Accordingly, the theme of the Current Affairs - Art photo contest is as follows:"Farmers in Nghe An are following Uncle Ho's advice."This includes: comprehensively reflecting the movements "Farmers competing in excellent production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty"; "Farmers joining forces to build new rural areas"; "Farmers participating in ensuring national defense and security"; and the projects and achievements initiated, directed, and guided by the associations at all levels for members and farmers to implement.

Focus on reflecting new models, applications of high technology, advanced techniques, cooperation and production linkages; and models of economic restructuring.

Unique moments in the lives and work of farmers in the province, showcasing the beauty of daily life, cultural activities, arts, and sports. Honoring exemplary individuals and groups, and outstanding achievements in the work of the Farmers' Association and the farmers' movement.Farmers study and follow the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh.The tradition of mutual support and assistance helps each other to rise up in life, in labor, production, economic development, poverty alleviation, sustainable wealth creation, and the building of a cultural life.

The contest is open to all Vietnamese citizens, regardless of age. Submitted photos must be original works taken within Nghe An province from June 1st, 2019 onwards.Up to the date of the competition, they had not been selected for exhibition or won any awards in competitions at the provincial level or higher.

Each author is allowed to submit a maximum of 10 entries to the competition. Submitted photos can be single photos, photo series, or photo essays.

The prize structure includes: 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes, and 9 Consolation Prizes. The awards ceremony and exhibition are expected to take place in October 2021.
