The 6th "Uncle Ho with Children - Children with Uncle Ho" competition was organized as a meaningful platform for children to express their affection for Uncle Ho through writings, drawings, and videos, while also spreading good deeds and beautiful stories in their daily studies and training.

On January 20th, at Nguyen Trai Primary School (Vinh Hung ward, Nghe An province), the Youth Pioneer and Children's Newspaper, in coordination with the Central Youth Union Council, organized the launching ceremony of the "Uncle Ho with Children - Children with Uncle Ho" competition for the 2025-2026 school year.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Phan Viet Hung - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Youth Pioneer and Children's Newspaper; representatives from the Department of Education and Training; the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union; local authorities; teachers and nearly 2,000 students of Nguyen Trai Primary School.

The "Uncle Ho with Children - Children with Uncle Ho" competition is a beneficial and creative playground organized by the Youth Pioneer and Children's Newspaper in coordination with the Central Council of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Organization, practically aiming to commemorate the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026) and the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Organization (May 15, 1941 - May 15, 2026).
From 2020 to 2025, the competition attracted more than 5 million individual and group entries from provinces and cities across the country. These were written pieces, drawings, and videos expressing the love and respect for President Ho Chi Minh, and relating his teachings to practical situations, written by young children in pure and sincere language.

Continuing this widespread impact, 2026 marks the sixth year that the "Uncle Ho with Children - Children with Uncle Ho" competition will be held nationwide, aiming to provide Vietnamese children with the opportunity to learn about the life, career, and revolutionary achievements of the beloved President Ho Chi Minh, while also reviewing the valuable lessons on ideology, morality, and style that he left for future generations.

The competition is organized in three forms: Video (for groups), writing and drawing (for individuals). Participants include all Vietnamese children (aged 6 to 15) studying and living in Vietnam and abroad, as well as primary and secondary school youth organizations, children's palaces, youth centers, and youth activity centers nationwide.
The competition rules were officially announced in January 2026 on the online newspapers thieunien.vn, Nhi Dong, and Thieu Nien Tien Phong. The deadline for submitting entries is April 5, 2026.

During the launching ceremony, the organizing committee also awarded prizes to children who won in the painting competition in response to the "Uncle Ho with Children - Children with Uncle Ho" contest; and presented a Young Pioneers' bookshelf to the school to encourage reading, cultivate knowledge, and awaken creativity in the younger generation.
The closing ceremony and awards presentation for the competition are expected to take place in Hanoi on the occasion of the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth and the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Organization.
