Launching a journalism competition on exemplary models and best practices in mass mobilization.

On the morning of June 3rd, the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, in coordination with the Department of Information and Communications and the Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association, organized the June press briefing conference.

At the conference, Mr. Dao Cong Loi, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, provided information about important exams this June. To reduce pressure on enrollment in public schools due to the increase of 7,249 ninth-grade students across the province compared to 2023, the Department has implemented measures such as: increasing the number of public school classes in localities with a significant increase in ninth-grade students; and increasing class sizes in all classes (primarily from 42 to 45 students per class; in some exceptional areas, this may increase to 46-48 students per class).

Specifically for Vinh City, 12 more public 10th-grade classes will be added; at the same time, consideration will be given to increasing the enrollment quota for 10th-grade classes in public high schools near Vinh in Hung Nguyen and Nghi Loc (Nghi Loc 3, Thai Lao).

Regarding the 2024 High School Graduation Examination, as of now, the total number of registered candidates is 37,044, including: 1,352 independent candidates, 10,010 candidates registered for the Natural Sciences subject combination, and 26,746 candidates registered for the Social Sciences subject combination. The Nghe An Department of Education and Training plans to arrange 70 examination centers for this year's exam.

At the conference, representatives from media agencies were also informed by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thom, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, about the journalism competition on exemplary models of "effective mass mobilization" organized by the Steering Committee of the "Effective Mass Mobilization" emulation movement in Nghe An province.

The entries in the journalism competition on exemplary models of "effective mass mobilization" are journalistic works reflecting on outstanding collectives and individuals who have skillfully propagated, mobilized, and organized the implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations, making positive contributions to socio-economic development, national defense, security, Party building, and the political system in Nghe An province.

Eligible participants are Vietnamese citizens residing in and outside Nghe An province who submit journalistic works about exemplary models of "effective mass mobilization" in Nghe An province. The works must be truthful, accurate, objective, and have a correct political and ideological orientation. They must be written in Vietnamese and published or broadcast on various media platforms. Licensed by the Ministry of Information and Communications from September 3, 2023 to September 2, 2024, and not in violation of the Press Law, Intellectual Property Law, and other legal regulations. Each author may submit a maximum of 3 works.

The deadline for submitting entries is 5:00 PM on September 15, 2024. The selection and judging period is from September 20 to October 5, 2024. The awards ceremony is tentatively scheduled to be held during the 94th anniversary of the Party's tradition of mass mobilization work (October 15, 1930 - October 15, 2024).
