Launching a contest to learn about traffic safety laws

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 5, in Vinh City, the Provincial People's Committee held the launching ceremony of the online contest "Learning about Traffic Safety Laws" on the Electronic Information Portal in 2016.

Attending the launching ceremony were comrade Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors and a large number of youth union members.

The contest aims to promote and improve the quality and effectiveness of traffic safety education for local people, especially students; raise awareness and self-consciousness in complying with traffic safety laws, and form a culture of behavior when participating in traffic.

The contest was officially launched on October 5 and lasted for 4 weeks, for organizations and individuals of Vietnamese and foreigners currently living, working and studying in Nghe An province.

The test content includes legal regulations when participating in traffic; skills in handling traffic situations, controlling vehicles, overcoming consequences and resolving traffic accidents; civilized behavior when participating in traffic, obeying the law and propagating traffic safety laws.

Students of Huynh Thuc Khang High School participated in the contest.

Each week, the Organizing Committee will finalize the results once with 16 prizes, including 1 first prize worth 2 million VND, a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. At the end of the contest, there will be 2 collective prizes, 1 prize for the unit with the most total prizes, 1 prize for the unit with the most participants and the best quality entries after 4 weeks of competition. Each collective prize will be awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and a bonus worth 3 million VND.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the contest also presented 40 helmets to students of Huynh Thuc Khang High School (Vinh City).
