Launching a competition to learn about the 70-year tradition of the Traffic Police force.

On November 9th, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security organized a competition titled "Understanding 70 Years of Building, Fighting, and Maturing of the Traffic Police Force" within the People's Public Security Force.

The competition is a practical activity aimed at widely disseminating and educating police officers and soldiers, as well as all segments of the population, about the 70-year tradition of building, fighting, and maturing of the traffic police force. Through this, it aims to awaken pride, encourage and motivate police officers in general and traffic police in particular to uphold the glorious tradition and actively contribute their strength and intellect to ensuring traffic safety and social order on road, rail, and inland waterway transportation routes.

Lieutenant Colonel Do Thanh Binh, Deputy Director of the Traffic Police Department, launched the competition at the Police Academy.

The competition also serves as an opportunity to evaluate and summarize the achievements and shortcomings in ensuring traffic safety and maintaining social order on traffic routes, contributing to improving the effectiveness of this work in the new situation.

Officers, soldiers, trainees, employees, and citizens serving a fixed term in the People's Public Security Force participating in the competition individually or in groups will answer 5 questions from the Organizing Committee.

The competition was held over 3 months (November 2015 – January 2016); the preliminary round ended with the deadline for submissions on December 15, 2015.

Outstanding entries, after passing the preliminary rounds at the General Departments, Commands, Departments, Bureaus, Institutes under the Minister, Police schools, and provincial and city police departments, will be sent to the Organizing Committee of the Ministry of Public Security before December 31, 2015, to participate in the final round.
