Attending the launching ceremony were: Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Le Minh Thong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives from provincial departments and agencies, and a large number of musicians from within and outside the province.

The campaign aims to encourage professional and amateur songwriters to create more songs about Truông Bồn, generating a new source of quality works to serve life and political and cultural events related to the Truông Bồn incident.

The campaign's theme aims to celebrate the immense significance of the Truông Bồn victory in the resistance war against the US, to praise the dedication and sacrifice of the armed forces and the people, especially the heroic sacrifice of the 13 young volunteer soldiers of Company 317 - Team 65. At the same time, it celebrates the cultural and historical value of the Truông Bồn Historical Site and the cultural traditions and people of Nghe An.

The participants in the writing contest are all Vietnamese citizens living, studying, and working in Vietnam and abroad; and foreigners living, working, studying, and working in Vietnam and abroad.

Regarding the prize structure, the Organizing Committee will award 1 First Prize (40 million VND); 2 Second Prizes (30 million VND each); 3 Third Prizes (20 million VND each) and 5 Consolation Prizes (10 million VND each).

The Organizing Committee will accept entries from the launch ceremony until July 30, 2019. The awards ceremony will be held after the Provincial People's Committee approves the judging results of the Award Council.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Le Minh Thong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, recalled the historical events that took place at Truong Bon in My Son commune (Do Luong district) during the resistance war against the US and for national liberation. He also encouraged the musicians to continue composing new songs about Truong Bon, contributing to affirming the historical and cultural value of the Truong Bon event, as well as the land and people of Nghe An throughout history.
