Launching a campaign to compose songs about Truong Bon

Attending the launching ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Minh Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades representing provincial departments and branches and many musicians inside and outside the province.

The campaign aims to encourage professional and amateur composers to write more songs about Truong Bon, creating a new source of quality works to serve life and political and cultural events related to the Truong Bon event.

The theme of the campaign aims to praise the great significance of the Truong Bon victory in the resistance war against the US to save the country; praise the dedication and sacrifice of the forces and people, especially the heroic sacrifice of 13 youth volunteers of Company 317 - Team 65. At the same time, praise the cultural and historical values ​​of the Truong Bon Historical Relic Site and the cultural traditions and people of Nghe An.

The subjects participating in the creative movement are all Vietnamese citizens living, studying, and working in and outside the country; and foreigners living, working, studying, and working in Vietnam and abroad.

Regarding the prize structure, the Organizing Committee will award 01 First prize (40 million VND); 02 Second prizes (each prize 30 million VND); 03 Third prizes (each prize 20 million VND) and 05 Consolation prizes (each prize 10 million VND).

The Organizing Committee will receive entries after the launching ceremony until July 30, 2019. The award ceremony will be held after the Provincial People's Committee has approved the award results of the Award Council.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, comrade Le Minh Thong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee reviewed the historical event that took place at Truong Bon in My Son commune (Do Luong) during the resistance war against the US to save the country. At the same time, he encouraged musicians to continue to write new songs about Truong Bon, contributing to affirming the historical and cultural value of the Truong Bon event as well as the land and people of Nghe An in historical periods.
