Launching the Tet Education Promotion Campaign in the Spring of Mau Tuat year 2018
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 11th, at Nghia Dan Town Secondary School, the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning organized the launching ceremony of the 15th "Nghe An Learning Promotion Tet" emulation movement and awarded scholarships to students for the 2017-2018 school year.
Attending the launching ceremony were Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Education and Training, along with representatives of the Nghia Dan district government.
The Tet Education Promotion Festival is a highly humane traditional activity that both honors learning and contributes to enhancing the tradition of studiousness among the people of the province. In 2017, along with the Tet Education Promotion Festival, the provincial Education Promotion Fund mobilized over 58 billion VND and awarded nearly 170,000 scholarships and prizes to students, helping them overcome difficulties in their studies and training.
In 2018, the Nghe An Education Promotion Festival was launched from the 15th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Rooster 2017 to the 15th day of the 1st lunar month of the Year of the Dog 2018 with many meaningful activities such as mobilizing support for the establishment and development of various types of education promotion funds, awarding scholarships to students with good academic and training achievements, and students from disadvantaged backgrounds…

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Comrade Tran Xuan Bi - Chairman of the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning - requested that localities organize registration and strive for 80% of families to achieve the title of "Learning Family," and 70% of clans and communities to achieve the title of "Learning Clan" and "Learning Community."
In addition, the various levels of the Association for the Promotion of Learning joined hands with sectors, organizations, social groups, businesses, and the entire society to care for students, especially those in remote, disadvantaged areas, ensuring they attend school and do not drop out, successfully completing the 2017-2018 school year with many new achievements and successes.

At the launching ceremony, the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning awarded scholarships from Vingroup Corporation to the Nghia Dan District Association for the Promotion of Learning, totaling 20 million VND. In addition, the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning also presented bicycles to 15 underprivileged students who excelled academically despite difficult circumstances in the district.
