This year's National Population Action Month has the theme "Community working together to care for the elderly," aiming to commit to ensuring the healthy and happy lives of the elderly, encouraging their participation in society to utilize their rich life experiences and valuable knowledge.
Currently in Nghe An province, the elderly account for 11.8% of the population, mostly living in rural and mountainous areas where access to healthcare remains challenging, especially for lonely, disabled, and homeless elderly people. Improving healthcare, increasing access to services, preventing common illnesses, and teaching basic self-care skills are becoming urgent needs.
