Eighteen house pillars, ranging in length from 5 to 8 meters, along with many other beams and rafters, were discovered in the forest of Muong village, Chau Kim commune, Que Phong district.

The aforementioned timber was discovered by local forest rangers from the Que Phong Forest Protection Department in the forest area of ​​Muong village, Chau Kim commune (near Bu Chong Cha slope).

According to Mr. Le Hai Ly, Head of the Que Phong District Forest Protection Department, this is the largest quantity of timber ever discovered in the Chau Kim forest area. The timber is chestnut wood, belonging to group 6. This wood was harvested for the purpose of building stilt houses. Previously, the district's forest protection force had also discovered a few cases of illegal logging, but the quantities were small and insignificant.
