Counterfeit fever-reducing and pain-relieving medication discovered.

Genuine Dianfagic fever-reducing hard capsules have one light blue end and one dark blue end, while counterfeit capsules are yellow.

The Drug Administration Department (Ministry of Health) has just sent an urgent letter to the Departments of Health in provinces and cities and hospitals to announce the discovery of counterfeit Dianfagic fever-reducing and pain-relieving medication.

This incident was discovered thanks to the results of testing by the Central Institute for Drug Testing on a sample of the drug Dianfagic, which was collected by the Ben Tre Provincial Testing Center at pharmacy 334 in Thanh Ngai commune, Mo Cay district.

When testing and detecting counterfeit drugs, the Central Institute for Drug Testing reported the findings to the Drug Administration Department to issue a widespread warning to the community.

This counterfeit medicine has several characteristics that differ from the genuine medicine produced by Minh Hai Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company. Specifically, the genuine Dianfagic medicine is packaged in a clear, glossy plastic bottle, while the counterfeit medicine is in an opaque plastic bottle. The hard capsules of the genuine medicine have one end light green and the other end dark green, while the counterfeit ones are yellow.

The Drug Administration has requested the Departments of Health in provinces and cities to inform the public so that they are aware of and avoid using this counterfeit medicine.
