(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 14th, while reporting in Buoc Mu village (Na Ngoi - Ky Son district), a reporter from Baonghean.vn discovered several piles of "unusual" wood along the road leading up to Phu Xai Lai Leng mountain. According to local residents, these are piles of rare and valuable cypress wood harvested directly from the forest along the roadside. This mountain still has remnants of cypress forests within the Nghe An Biosphere Reserve.

| Observations revealed two piles of timber and a pile of firewood right by the concrete roadside near the Buoc Mu village intersection on the way up to the Phu Xai Lai Leng mountain range. Notably, both piles of timber were recently sawn, with fresh saw marks still visible. |

| The wood was yellow and had a distinctive aroma. One pile was sawn into dozens of thin planks. Another pile next to it consisted of long, square logs 6 meters long. There were also three planks measuring 0.7m – 1m wide and 2m – 2.5m long. All of them had the same aroma and color. |

| Among the piles of wood lying by the roadside, one pile of timber cut into horizontal strips for house construction had markings made of charcoal. From our observation, that pile of wood had more than 30 neatly arranged horizontal strips. |
