(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 14, while working in the area of Buoc Mu village (Na Ngoi - Ky Son), Nghe An Newspaper reporters discovered some "strange" piles of wood on the road to Phu Xai Lai Leng mountain. According to local people, these are piles of rare sa mu wood exploited right in the forest along the road. This mountain still has remaining sa mu forests in the Nghe An Biosphere Reserve.

According to observation, right on the concrete roadside, away from the intersection of Buoc Mu village on the way up to Phu Xai Lai Leng mountain range, there are 2 piles of wood and a pile of firewood. Notably, the 2 piles of wood were newly sawn, the saw marks were still fresh. |
The wood is yellow and has a distinctive aroma. One pile is cut into dozens of thin planks. Another pile right next to it consists of 6m long square planks. There are also 3 dong planks ranging from 0.7m – 1m wide and 2m – 2.5m long. All have the same aroma and color. |
Large, fresh wooden panels with no hammer marks from the authorities were roughly covered on the side of the road. |
Among the piles of wood lying on the roadside, a pile of logs cut into house-making beams had charcoal markings. According to our observation, that pile of wood had more than 30 beams neatly stacked. |
 | At the location of the two piles of sa mu wood that we discovered near the top of Phu Xai Lai Leng mountain, there is still a dense forest containing many rare sa mu trees, and has been put under management. |
Some people asked said the wood gathering point has appeared for several days now, no one said anything about the owner of the pile of wood. |
