At 2:30 PM on October 14th, residents of Hamlet 3, Dang Son, Do Luong Commune, discovered an unexploded bomb on the right bank of the Lam River (in the area of the former ferry terminal), more than 200 meters from the Do Luong bridge.

Due to recent heavy rains and floods, the banks of the Lam River in this area have eroded by over 50 meters, penetrating 6 meters below the surface of the riverbank and exposing a bomb.

Upon receiving the report, the Military Command of Do Luong commune dispatched forces to cordon off the area and protect the scene while awaiting handling by relevant authorities. Simultaneously, they coordinated with the local government of Hamlet 3 to inform the fishing village residents to move to a safe location.
