Body of goat herder girl found naked in the mountain
People in Chau Lang commune were shocked when they discovered the body of a goat herder at the foot of Mo Coi mountain. Notably, the victim's body was naked and had many scratches on it.
Initial information, at about 5:00 p.m. on January 3, Tri Ton District Police received a report from Chau Lang Commune Police about the discovery of the body of Ms. Tran Thi Thu Hien (27 years old, residing in Lo Leng Hamlet, Chau Lang Commune, Tri Ton District) lying dead at the foot of Mo Coi Mountain.
Many people said that when they discovered Ms. Hien’s body, it was in a state of nakedness. There were bruises on the victim’s right forehead and both eyes, a mark on her neck, and many abrasions on her abdomen, left thigh, and right thigh.

According to the victim’s family, Ms. Hien often released goats at the foot of Mo Coi Mountain, which is where the crime took place. At around 2:00 p.m. the same day, Hien released the goats alone and was not wearing any jewelry.
About 1 hour and 30 minutes later, a local resident discovered Ms. Hien's body and reported it to the Chau Lang commune police.
Immediately upon receiving the news, the functional forces of An Giang Provincial Police and Tri Ton District Police proceeded to protect the scene to find the perpetrator.
On the afternoon of January 4, Lieutenant Colonel Do Van Muoi Bon, Chief of Staff of An Giang Provincial Police, said that the functional forces of this province's police had urgently arrested Lam Van Doi (born in 1996, residing in Chau Doc City, An Giang Province) to continue investigating the suspected rape and murder of Ms. Tran Thi Thu Hien.
