While out for their morning exercise, residents were horrified to discover the body of a young man floating in Linh Dam Lake.

At approximately 6:45 AM on July 16th, many people exercising along the shores of Linh Dam Lake (Hoang Liet Ward, Hoang Mai District, Hanoi) discovered the body of a young man, around 30 years old, floating in the lake.

The incident was quickly reported to the authorities.

When the incident was discovered, a large number of passersby stopped to watch, causing traffic congestion on Nguyen Huu Tho Street.

A duty officer from Hoang Liet Ward Police Station said that immediately after receiving a report from residents, the ward police dispatched officers to the scene to coordinate with relevant parties in examining the body. The victim's identity has not yet been determined, and no identification documents were found on the person.

The cause of death is currently under investigation by the authorities.
