Body of man found floating on Giang River
The body of a man wearing shorts and a short-sleeved shirt was found floating on the Giang River, in the section flowing through Tam Dong commune (formerly Thanh Lien commune, Thanh Chuong district).
At approximately 11 PM on September 7th, fishermen on the Giang River discovered the body of a man floating on the river, about 150 meters downstream from the Cho Chua suspension bridge.
The body was found lying face down, wearing a short-sleeved shirt and shorts, and appeared to be middle-aged. When discovered, the body was already bloated.
Local authorities arrived at the scene shortly afterwards. This morning (September 8th), the body was recovered and brought ashore on the sandbank in Tam Dong commune.
As of the morning of September 8th, no relatives had yet arrived at the scene to claim the body. The Tam Dong commune police have issued a notice to find the victim's relatives.
