Authorities uncovered a shipment of $97,000 in illegal goods.
The Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch recently discovered a passenger concealing an amount of foreign currency exceeding the permitted limit while undergoing exit procedures.

On July 24th, representatives from the Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch announced that they had inspected and discovered a male passenger on flight AK527 from Ho Chi Minh City to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), identified as TK, a Japanese national, concealing an amount of foreign currency exceeding the permitted limit during exit procedures.
During customs clearance, this passenger did not voluntarily declare their assets and failed to present a bank permit.

The confiscated illegal goods amounted to 97,000 USD, equivalent to nearly 2.2 billion VND.
The case is currently being investigated and handled according to regulations by the Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch in coordination with other relevant agencies.
