Cannabis garden discovered in shrimp pond
The police are completing the case file to prosecute a person who grew 190 marijuana plants in a local shrimp farm.
On October 19, Thuy Nguyen District Police (Hai Phong City) said that this unit is preparing a file and administratively handling the act of growing herbs suspected to be marijuana that the authorities have just discovered in an aquaculture pond in Minh Duc town.
Previously, a professional unit of Thuy Nguyen District Police (Hai Phong City) inspected the shrimp farm of Ms. Bui Ba Thuy (born in 1973, in Gia Duc Commune, Thuy Nguyen District) and discovered 190 herbs, suspected to be marijuana.

Working with the police, Ms. Bui Ba Thuy confessed that the 190 confiscated herbs belonged to Nguyen Trong Tien (born in 1993, from the same locality). Tien rented land in the shrimp pond about 4 months ago to plant the above plants.
Working with Nguyen Trong Tien, this person admitted to illegally growing marijuana plants.
The results of the examination showed that 190 of the herbs were cannabis plants.
Thuy Nguyen District Police are completing the documents to handle violations according to regulations.
