Cannabis garden discovered in shrimp farm.
The police are finalizing the case against an individual for cultivating 190 cannabis plants in a shrimp farming area in the locality.
On October 19th, the Thuy Nguyen District Police (Hai Phong City) announced that they are compiling a file and processing administrative penalties for the act of cultivating a herb suspected to be cannabis, which authorities recently discovered in an aquaculture pond in Minh Duc town.
Previously, a task force from the Thuy Nguyen District Police (Hai Phong City) inspected the shrimp farm of Ms. Bui Ba Thuy (born in 1973, residing in Gia Duc commune, Thuy Nguyen district) and discovered 190 herbal plants suspected to be cannabis.

Working with the police, Ms. Bui Ba Thuy confessed that the 190 seized herbs belonged to Nguyen Trong Tien (born in 1993, residing in the same locality). Tien rented the plot of land in the shrimp pond about four months prior to planting the herbs.
Working with Nguyen Trong Tien, he admitted to illegally cultivating cannabis plants.
The examination results showed that 190 of the herbs were cannabis plants.
The police in Thuy Nguyen district are finalizing the paperwork to handle the violations according to regulations.
