"Comrades, you must focus intensely on the final days before Election Day, coordinate closely, promptly handle any arising issues, and be determined to successfully organize the election," the Speaker of the National Assembly requested.

At the meeting, delegates focused on evaluating and reviewing the preparations for the election up to the present time; the issues that have emerged from the practical monitoring and inspection by the National Election Council in the past period; and agreed on the key tasks from now until Election Day on March 15, 2026 and after Election Day.
Concluding the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized: with only 3 days left, on March 15, 2026, voters nationwide will participate in the election. This is a particularly important political event for the country, a great festival for all the people.
The Speaker of the National Assembly acknowledged and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility, proactiveness, and great efforts of the National Assembly's agencies, the Subcommittees of the National Election Council, ministries, sectors, and localities throughout the past period.
The Speaker of the National Assembly pointed out that, up to this point, preparations for the election have been implemented comprehensively, meticulously, on schedule, and in accordance with the law.

The National Election Council has issued numerous resolutions, plans, and guiding documents; organized national conferences for dissemination and training; and established monitoring and inspection teams in many localities.
Local authorities have fully implemented all steps of the election process: the list of candidates has been announced; the voter list has been compiled; polling stations, election committees, and basic conditions for election day have been completed. To date, preliminary statistics show that there are nearly 79 million voters nationwide, in more than 72,000 polling stations, with the election organization system fully prepared from the central to the local level.
Affirming that election preparations are basically complete at this point, the Chairman of the National Assembly also emphasized the common desire of the Party and State leaders, and the National Election Council, for a high voter turnout rate, because this is a national festival, a day to exercise the people's right to self-governance, directly casting their votes to choose the most worthy representatives to participate in the National Assembly and People's Councils.
Emphasizing that the period from now until Election Day is crucial for the success of the entire election, the Speaker of the National Assembly noted that even a small oversight in the organization and implementation could affect the credibility of the election and the trust of voters and the people.
In that spirit, the Chairman of the National Assembly requested that the Subcommittees of the National Election Council absolutely avoid complacency and negligence, maintain high concentration, and promptly handle any arising situations to ensure that the election is conducted democratically, lawfully, safely, and truly as a festival for the entire nation.
The Chairman of the National Assembly also requested that agencies continue to focus on reviewing all preparations for Election Day. The Subcommittees of the National Election Council and the Office of the National Election Council should continue to coordinate closely with localities to inspect and review all aspects of the election process, from voter lists, candidate lists, election materials, facilities at polling stations to the organization at each polling station. Particular attention should be paid to remote areas, border regions, islands, early voting areas, and areas with difficult conditions.
The Chairman of the National Assembly requested a focus on ensuring absolute security and safety for the election. Relevant agencies need to proactively monitor the situation, strengthen measures to ensure political security and social order in polling areas, and promptly detect and handle any emerging situations.
The Speaker of the National Assembly also urged a focus on combating and preventing false and distorted information on the internet, and preventing malicious forces from exploiting the election to cause instability.

Regarding information and propaganda work on the election, the Chairman of the National Assembly requested that information and press agencies continue to promote the significance and importance of the election, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and confidence among the people. This will help voters understand their rights and responsibilities, actively participate in voting, and choose worthy representatives to participate in the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels.
The Chairman of the National Assembly also requested thorough preparation for monitoring and compiling the situation on Election Day. The Office of the National Election Council needs to coordinate closely with the Subcommittees and relevant agencies to establish a system for monitoring, updating information, and compiling election results nationwide. On Election Day, a system of rapid, timely, and accurate reporting must be maintained to the Politburo, the Secretariat, and other competent authorities.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man requested that the subcommittees of the National Election Council fully prepare plans to handle all possible situations on Election Day, emphasizing proactive measures from early on and in advance; avoiding passivity and surprises; and ensuring that all arising issues are handled promptly, within the proper authority, and in accordance with the law.
The Subcommittee on Ensuring Security, Order, and Social Safety will closely coordinate with relevant authorities to thoroughly understand the local situation, proactively and promptly handle complex security and order issues at the grassroots level, and prevent them from affecting the election.
Three key requirements in the election process:
- Absolutely ensure that the election is conducted democratically, lawfully, safely, and on schedule.
- All emerging situations must be handled immediately at the grassroots level, avoiding a reactive approach, preventing them from spreading, and ensuring they do not affect Election Day.
- The entire election organization system, from the central to the local level, must maintain a continuous monitoring and reporting system, ensuring smooth information flow and timely guidance in all situations.
The report indicates that the number of election-related petitions is not large, most are duplicates or do not meet the processing criteria, and no complex issues affecting the election have arisen.
However, the Speaker of the National Assembly requested the Subcommittee on Legal Documents and Complaint Resolution to continue closely monitoring, promptly receiving, classifying, and verifying complaints, and coordinating with competent authorities to definitively verify and resolve eligible cases in accordance with the law.
For duplicate or ineligible applications, classification and record-keeping must be carried out according to regulations, but the situation must still be closely monitored to prevent misuse and information disruption during and after Election Day. Agencies and localities receiving applications must process and respond promptly, reporting the results to the National Election Council.
"The general principle is to handle matters in accordance with the law, promptly and decisively; to prevent complaints from affecting the progress of the election and the verification of the eligibility of elected officials," the Speaker of the National Assembly emphasized.
The Speaker of the National Assembly also requested that members of the National Election Council refrain from official travel or supervision duties from March 15th to March 22nd, and instead focus on monitoring and promptly addressing any issues arising related to the election.
The Office of the National Election Council has sent a document to the Government and the Ministry of Finance urging them to promptly consider, allocate, and distribute funds to localities, especially mountainous provinces with large geographical areas, to ensure the necessary conditions for organizing the election in accordance with regulations and on schedule.
