(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of May 6, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department coordinated with the Department of Information and Communications and the Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association to organize a press conference for May.
The press activity report in April 2024 clearly stated that outstanding issues and events were promptly and specifically reported and propagated by press agencies. In the field of current affairs and politics, the province's key internal and external activities include: regular meetings of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee, and the Provincial People's Committee.
In particular, the event of Nghe An province and Ulyanov organizing the ceremony to receive and inaugurate the statue of Lenin in Vinh city was actively participated in by press and radio agencies, strongly promoted, and spread a strong effect in public opinion.
Press agencies have had many articles, programs, documentary images, and information about the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, affirming the great stature and significance of this "earth-shaking" victory.
Along with that, the press agencies reflected on the shortcomings of some projects, recommended and proposed some appropriate solutions and handling plans to overcome the shortcomings and limitations, regain the people's trust, as well as not affect the province's investment attraction policy.
In addition, some issues such as: slow progress of site clearance, increasing gasoline prices causing pressure on businesses, fishermen and consumers; environmental pollution due to waste, mineral exploitation... were also mentioned and reflected in depth by the press.
Regarding the propaganda orientation in May, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department requested press agencies to pay special attention to and promote information and propaganda on the implementation of Action Program No. 68 on implementing Resolution No. 39 of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province to 2030, with a vision to 2045; implementing the Nghe An Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.
Strengthen information and propaganda to highlight the results and achievements in all areas of the 3 years of implementing the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress.
Focus on major events and holidays in the month such as: Celebrating the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, associated with the special art television program "Lotus Village nurtures great ambitions"; continue to promote movements, models, and typical examples of good implementation of "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style".
The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department also requested that editorial offices and press agencies promote the responsibility of journalists when participating in forums on cyberspace. Accordingly, promote the advantages of social networks, proactively share useful information, issues that readers are interested in to spread positive messages, increase propaganda effectiveness; at the same time, refute false and distorted arguments, become a "support" for public opinion against bad and toxic information./.
