(Baonghean.vn) - Day 2On June 7th, the Provincial People's Committee organized a conference to summarize 10 years of implementing the National Defense Law.

Attending the conference were Colonel Nguyen Van Huy, Deputy Director of the Department of Militia and Self-Defense, Ministry of National Defense; Colonel Tran Khac Bang, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 4; Le Xuan Dai, Standing Committee Member and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and Colonel Ha Tan Tien, Standing Committee Member and Commander of the Provincial Military Command.

Overview of the Conference.

After 10 years of implementing the National Defense Law in the province, comprehensive results have been achieved in various fields, including: disseminating and educating the public on the law; building a national defense system and defense zones; establishing a national defense posture; and conducting national defense education. In particular, the effective implementation of the National Defense Law has been focused on aligning it with the Party's policies and the State's laws on national defense and military tasks. This has significantly enhanced the legal awareness and responsibility of the entire population in fulfilling the task of building and protecting the Fatherland.

Leaders of the Provincial Military Command presented flowers to congratulate the young men on their departure for military service.

At the conference, delegates also exchanged and discussed the achievements, while pointing out existing shortcomings and inadequacies in the implementation of the National Defense Law at the local and unit levels, in order to propose adjustments and additions by competent authorities to suit the practical situation.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Comrade Le Xuan Dai acknowledged and commended the achievements made over the past 10 years in implementing the National Defense Law by the Party Committee, government, armed forces, and people of all ethnic groups in the province.

To effectively carry out national defense work in the coming period, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that all levels, sectors, and localities thoroughly understand and seriously and effectively implement the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels, the National Defense Law, and related documents; focus on building clean and strong Party organizations, enhancing capacity and combat strength in conjunction with building strong agencies and units; and that departments and agencies proactively coordinate and advise on solutions for socio-economic development in conjunction with building a national defense system and a people's security posture.
