Criticizing the District Chairman for 'forgetting' to pay benefits to officials in remote areas
For "forgetting" to pay policies and regimes to officials and civil servants in remote areas, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Krong Pak district was criticized in writing by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Lak province.
On the afternoon of August 20, Mr. Bui Van Yen - Deputy Director of Dak Lak Department of Finance said that after receiving the report from the People's Committee of Krong Pak district, the Department of Finance has allowed the locality to advance about 4.1 billion VND to pay for the allowance policy to attract cadres, civil servants and public employees according to Decree 116 dated December 24, 2010 of the Government.
Many cadres and teachers work in remote areas in Dak Lak province.
According to Mr. Yen, the Department has sent a document to localities requesting them to review and report on all beneficiaries of the policy to make correct and sufficient payments to workers, avoiding causing disadvantages. At the same time, localities are required to closely monitor and review carefully to avoid "forgetting" to summarize the beneficiaries, avoiding similar cases as in Krong Pak district.
“Recently, the Ea Sup District People's Committee also sent a document asking about the payment of policies and regimes for cadres, civil servants and public employees in the district. The Department has not yet received a detailed and specific report on this matter,” said Mr. Yen.
Regarding the incident, the Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee criticized the Chairman of the Krong Pak District People's Committee for "forgetting" the regime for cadres and employees. Specifically, Krong Pak District has not fully reviewed and does not clearly understand the management area (village 2A, Hoa Tien commune, Krong Pak - PV) in the area entitled to the regime under Decree 116. It was not until later, when a military unit stationed nearby completed the procedures to receive the regime, that the cadres and teachers learned about it and made a recommendation to their superiors.
Previously, at the end of 2017, the Department of Finance also spent more than 23 billion VND for the People's Committee of Krong Buk district to pay for teachers in the area in 2016. The reason was that hundreds of teachers in Krong Buk district had been "forgotten" by the district to pay policies to attract teachers from remote areas.
Regarding these shortcomings, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee has requested the Krong Buk District People's Committee to review individuals and groups related to the "forgetting" of teachers' benefits.
