Midfielder Phi Son has just said goodbye to Hong Linh Ha Tinh after more than 4 seasons with the club.

At the end of the 2020 season, Tran Phi Son decided to join Hong Linh Ha Tinh. Wearing the jersey of his hometown team, the player nicknamed "Vietnamese Ronaldo" consistently proved his importance both on and off the field.

At Hong Linh Ha Tinh, Tran Phi Son played a total of 51 matches and scored 5 goals. However, Tran Phi Son's contribution to the team's overall success cannot be measured by specific numbers.

In spite ofHong Linh, Ha TinhDespite a disappointing performance in the V.League 2023/2024, Tran Phi Son had a fairly successful season personally. 21 matches and 1 goal gave him his second-highest number of appearances since leaving Song Lam Nghe An (at the end of 2017).

It's worth remembering that in recent seasons, coach Nguyen Thanh Cong has deployed Tran Phi Son as a left winger in a 4-1-4-1 formation or as a left-sided central midfielder in a 5-3-2 formation. And Tran Phi Son has performed quite well in those roles.

Unfortunately, just before the start of the 2024/2025 season, Tran Phi Son suffered a rather serious injury. Throughout this period, the player from Huong Son, Ha Tinh, has been unable to train with coach Nguyen Thanh Cong and his team.

Most likely, this is the reason why Tran Phi Son and Hong Linh Ha Tinh have parted ways. Hopefully, the former Vietnam national team midfielder will quickly recover from his injury and find a new club in the mid-season transfer window.

Currently, Tran Phi Son's former team, Song Lam Nghe An, is also planning to strengthen its squad. If he regains good physical condition, Tran Phi Son would be a good option for coach Phan Nhu Thuat. Will Tran Phi Son be reunited with Song Lam Nghe An?
