Episode 1 of "Stepping into Life" reveals Thuong's difficult circumstances as she has to be both an older sister and a mother to her younger siblings after a tragedy, while also beginning her tumultuous love story with Quan.
The drama series "Stepping into Life" officially airs its first episode tonight (February 23rd), introducing viewers to the inspiring story of the character Thuong. After the sudden death of her parents, Thuong (played by Quynh Kool) becomes the sole breadwinner, managing all household affairs and caring for her two younger siblings who are entering adulthood.
The difficult circumstances of the eldest sister.
In the first episode, viewers witness Thuong's stressful life at her rented room. She not only manages living expenses but also plays the role of a strict older sister, constantly reminding her younger sister about her spending habits. Conflicts arise when Thuong's younger sister frequently uses her earnings to buy clothes instead of adopting the frugal lifestyle Thuong desires.
The pressure of managing a household remotely.
Besides taking care of her younger sister in the city, Thuong also has to worry about her youngest brother, Tuan Minh (played by Son Tung), who is in the countryside with their grandmother. Thuong's excessive concern, expressed through her instructions to their grandmother, makes Tuan Minh, a 17-year-old boy, feel controlled and deprived of his freedom. The rebellious spirit of adolescence promises to be one of the film's important psychological plot points.
The appearance of a new character and the foreshadowing of turmoil.
The episode also reveals the appearance of Quân (played by Huỳnh Anh), a handsome young man with a confident demeanor. Quân is currently showing special interest in and pursuing Thương. However, the significant difference in their family backgrounds foreshadows obstacles and challenges in their relationship in the following episodes.
