Hong Anh's film won 3 awards at the 2017 ASEAN Film Festival

At the awards ceremony of the 2017 ASEAN International Film Festival, which took place on the evening of May 6 in Malaysia, the film "Island of the Immigrants" directed by Hong Anh was honored in many important categories. The work surpassed 4 other candidates to win the "Best Film" award.

Singer Pham Hong Phuoc was moved when his name was called for the "Best Actor" award.

"Island of the Immigrants" also won the "Best Director of Photography" category. Previously, the film was nominated for 8 important awards at this year's ASEAN International Film Festival.

Director Hong Anh and two actors Ngoc Thanh Tam and Pham Hong Phuoc are very happy because their efforts for the film have been rewarded.

Previously, on the red carpet of the Film Festival, the crew of 'Island of the Immigrants' appeared radiantly before the Malaysian media.

Ngoc Thanh Tam wore a dress custom-made by designer Cong Tri. She was nominated for "Best Actress" but was unlucky not to win.

The actress had the opportunity to meet with Philippine actor Marlo Mortel.
