Peach, Pho and Pianois a film directed by Phi Tien Son, ordered by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Cinema, and produced by Feature Film Joint Stock Company I. The film was invested with a budget of up to 20 billion VND.
The film is inspired by the 60-day and night war in late 1946 and early 1947 between the Hanoi army and people, with the love story of a self-defense soldier (played by Doan Quoc Dam) and a young lady from Hanoi (Cao Thuy Linh). Meritorious Artist Tran Luc, Meritorious Artist Trung Hieu, Doan Quoc Dam, singer Tuan Hung... also appear in the film.
The film was released on February 10 (the first day of Tet), showing only at the National Cinema Center. After that, the film created a "fever" for tickets at the beginning of the year, reaching a revenue of 21 billion VND, with a ticket price of 50,000 VND, lower than private films. The film recovered its investment capital, being a rare State-produced film to reach this milestone.
The film won the Silver Lotus Award for Best Feature Film at the 23rd Vietnam Film Festival; won the Silver Award for Best Feature Film and theExcellent musicat the Golden Kite Awards 2024.
