The new television drama "Family of Opposite Signs" will air from December 1st on VTV3, starring Meritorious Artist Hoang Hai and Meritorious Artist Kieu Anh. The work explores the unexpected events in life when a district-level department head is forced to retire early and experiences working as a delivery driver or ride-hailing motorbike driver.

"The Family of Opposite Signs" opens with a major event in the life of Mr. Phi (played by Meritorious Artist Hoang Hai), a diligent department head forced into early retirement due to mergers and downsizing. From being a pillar of both the family's economic and spiritual well-being, Mr. Phi suddenly faces the loss of income, his role, and his direction, despite still harboring a strong desire to contribute.
This sudden change triggered long-standing family problems. The financial burden became more apparent due to the family's dependence on relatives in their hometown. Simultaneously, conflicts between Mr. Phi and his eldest son, Duc (Thua Tuan Anh) – who had a personality opposite to his father's – intensified.
Hilarious and awkward situations
The relationship between Mr. Phi and his wife, Ms. Anh (Meritorious Artist Kieu Anh) – a choreographer – also faces challenges. Although she loves her husband, Ms. Anh sometimes cannot fully share her hidden worries, creating an invisible distance between them.
It was in these difficult circumstances that both Mr. Phi and Ms. Anh had to find ways to make ends meet and started working as ride-hailing drivers and delivery people. From here, a series of ironic and comical situations occurred, testing the feelings and bonds of the members of this "family of opposite genders".
"The Family of Opposite Signs" will be broadcast at 8 PM every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday on VTV3, starting from December 1st, 2025.
