Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien lays flowers and offers incense at the Kim Lien Historical Site.

On the morning of December 29th, Comrade Do Van Chien - Member of the Politburo, Standing Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, and Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly - laid flowers and offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site in Nghe An province.

Also attending were members of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Social Affairs; Thai Thanh Quy - Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee; and representatives of the leadership of the National Assembly agencies and the National Assembly Office…

The leaders of Nghe An province included: Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; and Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies.

Also attending were the Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee, the Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, National Assembly Deputies from the Nghe An Delegation; leaders of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and People's Council Office and a number of departments, agencies, and localities.

The flower and incense offering ceremony was organized to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026) and to summarize the activities of the 15th National Assembly term of the Nghe An Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies.

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, Comrade Do Van Chien and the delegates respectfully offered gifts, flowers, and incense, commemorating and expressing their boundless gratitude and profound respect for President Ho Chi Minh. During his lifetime, he affirmed that our National Assembly had wholeheartedly served the people and the nation, gloriously fulfilling the duties of the people's representatives.

The 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly is an occasion for the entire Party, people, and army to review the history of its formation and development; and to affirm the great achievements that our National Assembly has attained over the past eight decades.

Throughout that journey, the National Assembly, its agencies, and the Delegation of National Assembly Deputies from Nghe An province have consistently upheld the spirit of solidarity, a sense of responsibility, and strong innovation, achieving comprehensive results in all areas of work, creating an important foundation for the next National Assembly to continue innovating methods and further improving the quality and effectiveness of its operations.

Inheriting and promoting the glorious traditions of the nation; drawing on past experiences, with the close, comprehensive, and timely leadership and guidance of the Party; the close coordination of agencies within the political system; the cooperation and assistance of international friends; and the support and supervision of the people and the National Assembly of Vietnam, the Delegation of National Assembly Deputies of Nghe An province will continue to fulfill its role and function as the highest representative body of the people and the highest state power organ of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, striving for the goal of a prosperous people, a strong nation, democracy, fairness, and civilization.
