Preparing for the second consultative conference.
According to reports from localities, the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term is a key political task and will be implemented according to the correct procedures, schedule, and authority as stipulated by the Central Government and the province.
To date, all wards and communes have completed the establishment of electoral organizations, including the Election Committee, the Election Board, and the Polling Station. Following the first consultative meeting, localities organized meetings of voters at their workplaces to introduce candidates for the commune-level People's Council; guided the nominated candidates in completing their dossiers; and simultaneously conducted assessments and prepared for the second consultative meeting to be held on February 2nd and 3rd, 2026.

Local authorities also proactively conducted a first review of the voter list in their areas; anticipating some difficulties in order to focus leadership and guidance, especially regarding population movements in apartment complexes, industrial zones, and among officials and workers in agencies, units, and businesses.
In addition, local authorities have proactively developed plans and prepared the necessary conditions to ensure that the election takes place safely, legally, and truly as a festival for all citizens, in order to promote public awareness, maintain security and order, and prevent and mitigate natural disasters such as storms and floods.

Besides the achievements, localities also requested the province to pay attention to, accompany, and support them, especially regarding funding for the implementation of propaganda tasks and the preparation of facilities; and to address the issue of overlapping voter data between police data and reality.
On the other hand, the province needs to provide professional training for the Election Committee and Polling Station Committee – these are the departments directly responsible for determining the quality of election organization at the grassroots level; and promote the application of information technology in elections…

Based on reports from localities, some members of the provincial election committee's monitoring team noted several issues that localities need to pay attention to, including leadership and personnel guidance; organizing high-quality consultative conferences and ensuring they are held on time as prescribed; paying attention to the verification of the political qualifications of candidates; strengthening propaganda work; and proactively anticipating and handling situations.

Closely monitor the progress for implementation.
Concluding the meeting, Comrade Hoang Phu Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and member of the Provincial Election Committee - highly appreciated the urgency and seriousness of the localities in implementing election tasks in accordance with the law and schedule, including the establishment of election organizations and the implementation of steps in accordance with legal regulations.

With the election on March 15, 2026, fast approaching and coinciding with the Lunar New Year holiday, Comrade Hoang Phu Hien requested that localities closely monitor the situation, proactively implement the steps according to the plan; and fully prepare the conditions for organizing the second and third consultative conferences on schedule. During this process, any obstacles or difficulties should be immediately discussed with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province for specific guidance.
Local authorities need to coordinate with the Department of Interior and the Provincial Police to continue reviewing and updating voter lists, especially in apartment complexes and industrial zones where there are significant population changes, to ensure accuracy. They should also continue reviewing the personnel involved in the election process, especially at polling stations, and have contingency plans in place to provide additional personnel in case of unforeseen incidents on election day.
Comrade Hoang Phu Hien also requested that all levels and sectors continue to strengthen propaganda work, especially on digital platforms; closely monitor the situation at the grassroots level and develop specific action plans for each locality and each time period, ensuring that the election is conducted democratically, lawfully, and safely.
