Russian Deputy Prime Minister proposes issuing e-visas for Vietnamese citizens entering Russia

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova has proposed implementing an electronic visa system for entry into Russia from August 1.

Ms. Golikova proposed to keep the list of electronic visas for citizens of 52 countries, adding 3 more countries: Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar.

"The electronic visa will be launched from August 1, 2023. All acceptance checks have been carried out, we are ready for this work," Golikova said at a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with members of the Russian Government via videoconference.

Russia completes cooperation plan with Vietnam until 2030

Previously, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, at a meeting with Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Defense Hoang Xuan Chien, announced that Russian agencies had completed planning for comprehensive bilateral cooperation with Vietnam until 2030, and Moscow hoped that Vietnam would soon review this document.

"Implementing the agreements with my Vietnamese counterpart, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Russian agencies have prepared a comprehensive plan for developing bilateral cooperation until 2030. This is a large and specific document including a series of roadmaps for developing sectoral cooperation with specific goals that will be transferred to the Vietnamese side in the coming time - We hope that the document will be reviewed positively and promptly," he said.
