According to several Russian media outlets, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, in charge of the defense and space industries, accidentally pulled the trigger and shot himself in the leg while practicing at a shooting club. His current health is not in danger, but the injury prevents him from attending cabinet meetings and private meetings with Russian President Putin. The Interfax news agency, citing a close source, reported that "Dmitry Olegovich is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Moscow."
Meanwhile, Vice President Nikita Anisimov's spokesperson said that Dmitry suffered an injury while playing handball last weekend. The incident was not as reported in the newspapers.

Mr. Rogozin, formerly Russia's ambassador to NATO in Brussels, is an amateur marksman and a passionate gun collector. He has also authored several books on military tactics and politics.
