After receiving information through the press and the Ministry of Interior's report on the inspection of the Binh Dinh Department of Natural Resources and Environment having six deputy directors, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the Chairman of the Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee to definitively resolve the issue of the number of deputy directors exceeding the regulations and to take disciplinary action against individuals involved in the appointment process.
Previously, as reported by Tuoi Tre newspaper, although the government issued a decree in 2014 stipulating that each provincial-level department could have a maximum of three deputy directors, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Binh Dinh province had as many as six deputy directors.
The Deputy Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Interior to monitor and inspect the implementation, and to compile a report for the Prime Minister before July 15, 2017.
