The Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Nghe An Province, Abbot of Huu Nghi Pagoda in Laos.
The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) of Nghe An province recently made a meaningful visit and working trip to Xieng Khouang province, Lao People's Democratic Republic. During the visit, the VBS of Nghe An province announced and presented the appointment decision to Venerable Thich Tho Lac as the Abbot of Huu Nghi Pagoda.

Leading the delegation was Venerable Thich Tho Lac - Member of the Executive Council, Head of the Central Culture Committee, and Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Nghe An province.


The trip was not only an annual Buddhist exchange activity but also marked a special occasion with the groundbreaking ceremony for the first Vietnamese temple in Xieng Khouang. The temple, named Huu Nghi Temple (Friendship Temple), affirms the strong spread of Vietnamese Buddhism in Laos. At the same time, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An province announced and presented the appointment decision for Venerable Thich Tho Lac as the abbot of Huu Nghi Temple.
