Thu Giang is the only contestant from Nghe An province to make it to the final round of the competition.

To be present in this final round, the contestants had to pass the first qualifying round with the participation of 25,000 contestants. Next, 80 contestants competed in the second round to select the 15 best contestants for the final round. The organizing committee said that the 15 contestants present in the final round came from the provinces: Son La, Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Phu Tho, Hung Yen, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Can Tho, the Military Youth Union (2 delegates) and the Youth Union of the Ministry of Public Security.

The exam content is all in English to test English skills but focuses on basic knowledge of history, politics, socio-economics, and culture of Vietnam; about President Ho Chi Minh, his Testament, and Ho Chi Minh's ideology; about the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and ASEAN member countries; general knowledge about the international and regional situation, international integration; about the history of formation and development of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Vietnam Youth Federation, the Vietnam Student Association, and other youth organizations.

The contest is organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to create a healthy playground, stimulate the spirit of learning, practice English and support international integration skills for the Youth Union staff, young people in the target groups of civil servants, public employees, enterprises and armed forces.
