On May 20th, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, Deputy Head of the Education and Training Department of Nghi Loc district, confirmed that they are requesting a report from Nghi Hoa Primary School regarding the incident where a student was beaten by a teacher.
Accordingly, at around 10:00 AM on May 17th, Ms. Nguyen Thi Duyen (born in 1969, residing in Nghi Hoa commune, Nghi Loc district) went to school to pick up her child, VTT (born in 2010, currently studying in class 1B, Nghi Hoa Primary School).
At this point, the mother noticed her child exhibiting unusual behavior, so she pressed her for answers. T. then revealed that she had been hit on the back and legs by her teacher, Dang Thi Nga.
After undressing her child to check, she saw red marks on her body, like ruler marks. "I counted 4-5 wounds on both her back and legs. A few days later, the bruises from the beating caused her to develop a fever and she couldn't eat or drink anything," Ms. Duyen said.

To clarify the situation, Ms. Duyen called Ms. Nga. She said: "Ms. Nga admitted to hitting my child because she wanted him to study better. Ms. Nga said that the semester exams were coming up, but my child couldn't do simple math problems, so she got angry and hit him a few times with a ruler."
However, Ms. Duyen said that if the teacher had only hit the child once on the leg, she wouldn't have complained, but the teacher hit the child many times on the body.
Regarding this matter, Mr. Trung stated: “Currently, Nghi Hoa Primary School is holding a meeting of the school's management board and has requested Ms. Nga to write a report. After we have the results, we will take appropriate action.”
