Women of Hung Phuc ward (Vinh city) join hands for the environment

(Baonghean) - With awareness and sense of responsibility for the living environment and the landscape of each street, women of Hung Phuc ward (Vinh city) have joined hands in many activities for the environment, building a clean, beautiful and civilized urban area.

The Women's Union of the ward actively builds and directs the model of "Clean consumption, friendly to the environment" in the two blocks of Quang Phuc and Tan Phuc; propagates and mobilizes members to limit the use of plastic bags by using plastic baskets to go to the market; establishes an environmental protection club.

Along with that, the Ward Women's Union directed the Women's Union branches to mobilize members to carry out the movement of collecting waste and cleaning public areas. In particular, strengthening the management and improving the quality of women's self-managed roads "Green - Clean - Beautiful", "Civilized Alleys". Every month, every quarter and on holidays, women clean the roads and take care of trees.

In Quang Phuc Block Association, through the establishment of the core environmental protection club, there have been many practical and effective activities for environmental protection. The club consists of 35 members "planted" in each inter-family group, each road and alley, responsible for propagating to women members to raise awareness of environmental protection and participate in environmental protection actions, such as cleaning and collecting waste on roads and alleys. Currently, the whole block has 195 members, of which 145 are regular members (50 are current members), of which 70% of members use plastic baskets to go to the market.

Through the work of women, spontaneous garbage collection points on a route or area of ​​the block were eliminated. In particular, it created a spread and change in people's awareness and consciousness in contributing to preserving and protecting the common environment.
