On May 20th and 21st, a delegation from the Hanoi City Women's Union, led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy - Standing Vice President of the Union, visited and presented gifts.womenKy Son district is poor.

Joining the Hanoi delegation, representing the province was Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Hoa - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, President of the Nghe An Provincial Women's Union.

Accordingly, within the framework of their working visit to Nghe An, the delegation from the Hanoi City Women's Union held a meeting with the Nghe An Provincial Women's Union to exchange and share experiences on union activities and women's movements between the two localities.

The delegation also visited and presented gifts to officers and soldiers of the Provincial Border Guard Command. There, the delegation gained an understanding of the situation in the border area of ​​Nghe An province, which has a border length of 468.281 km, bordering three provinces of the Lao People's Democratic Republic: Xieng Khouang, Hua Phan, and Bolikhamsai.

Along with fulfilling its primary political task of protecting and maintaining national border security, the Nghe An Border Guard has also actively and effectively participated in building the grassroots political system and developing socio-economic aspects, including many activities focused on caring for and supporting women.children.

The delegation from the Hanoi City Women's Union, along with the Provincial Women's Union, also directly visited and presented gifts to the Party committees, local authorities, and impoverished women in Na Loi and Nam Can communes, Ky Son district.

Specifically, in Na Loi commune, in addition to giving gifts to the Party Committee, the local government, and the Border Guard Post, the Hanoi City Women's Union provided support for a "breeding cow" livelihood model to 5 poor women, worth 10 million VND per model; and donated 20 gift packages to poor women.

In Nam Can commune, the Hanoi City Women's Union presented gifts to the commune's Party committee, government, and border guard station; and provided financial support of 50 million VND to build a "House of Love" for Ms. La Thi No in Noong De village, who is in extremely difficult circumstances, having lost her husband and raising two young children alone.

The Hanoi City Women's Union also provided financial support for the construction of sanitation facilities for 5 poor female members, worth 10 million VND per facility; and presented 20 gifts to poor female members of the commune.

On this occasion, the Provincial Women's Union also presented gifts to two border guard posts and the Nam Can post; and donated two sets of computers and printers to the Women's Unions of Na Loi and Nam Can communes.
