(Baonghean.vn) - The scuttlefish is a rare fish that often appears after storms and they often move to coastal reefs. Seizing this opportunity, fishermen in the coastal area of Quynh Luu (Nghe An) bring their fishing gear to the sea to fish and bring home a good income.
Walking along the sea dike to the reef in Dai Bac village, Quynh Long commune, in recent days, groups of people have gathered on the beach to fish for a rare type of fish that only appears during the rainy season.
At the reef, the "fishermen" are mainly women, each holding a homemade bamboo pole about 3-4 meters long and a basket tied around their waist to hold the fish.

Ms. Nguyen Thi My in Tien Thuy commune (Quynh Luu) was excited when she just put her fishing rod in the sea and caught a fish.catfishweighing 700 grams. She said: “After storm No. 5 passed, from yesterday until now, people have flocked to the reef in Quynh Long commune to fish. A few people fished and discovered rare fish, so they informed each other and today there must have been more than 10 people fishing.”
According to the "anglers", to catch the scuttlefish, first of all, you must be an experienced fisherman; especially with this type of fish, you must fish close to the reef because they move here to hide after days of rough seas. When fishing, you must be patient because there are days when the fish move to many places and do not get hooked.

The bait used for fishing for catfish is shrimp and prawns. On each fishing rod, people use a 3-5 meter long piece of fishing line, tied with 2 hooks and a piece of lead to create sinking when dropping the bait into the water.
According to fishermen, if they are lucky, they can catch 5-6 kg of catfish in a day; this fish is currently sold for 150,000 VND/kg, so each"fisherman"earn nearly 1 million VND/day. Previously, someone caught more than 10 kg for a fairly high income.
