Border women promote brocade weaving
(Baonghean.vn) - 105/105 households in Xop Thap village - Huu Lap (Ky Son - Nghe An) participate in brocade weaving, contributing to preserving the traditional culture of the Thai people.
Ban Xop Thap has just been awarded a Certificate of Recognition for brocade weaving. This profession has existed for a long time and has been passed down from generation to generation by women in the village. Previously, brocade products were only for family use. In response to consumer demand, villagers have invested in weaving many items, bringing high economic value.

Up to now, 105/105 households in the village participate in brocade weaving, with an average income of 2 - 2.3 million VND/person/month.
Weavers are able to attend training courses to improve their skills, so many products such as scarves, skirts, shirts, and brocade blankets with rich patterns and designs can reach the market, attracting customers inside and outside the district.
Ban Xop Thap is the third unit of Ky Son district to be recognized as a brocade weaving village by the People's Committee of Nghe An province. This is a motivation for the women of the village to continue to maintain and develop the traditional brocade weaving profession of their people.
