In episode 32 of the drama "Wind Across the Blue Sky," a flashback scene depicting the first meeting between the two main characters, My Anh (Phuong Oanh) and Dang (Doan Quoc Dam), captivated viewers. To film this scene, actress Phuong Oanh had to portray an 18-year-old high school girl, half her current age.
The preparation process required meticulous investment, from selecting costumes appropriate to the setting 20 years ago to portraying the carefree and innocent demeanor of a young girl. Many viewers commented that Phuong Oanh's appearance in this role was youthful, reminiscent of her first leading role in the film "Hoa Bay" (Flying Flowers).
The perfect chemistry on set.
In the scene, Doan Quoc Dam's character, Dang, appears in a hip-hop style, befitting a student at the Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Film at that time. The interaction between the two actors on set was natural and fun, demonstrating their chemistry after many collaborations.
One of the most notable scenes is when Dang catches My Anh from falling and holds onto her ice cream cone. To get the perfect shot, the film crew had to reshoot many times, with dozens of ice cream cones falling and breaking.
