Truong Thi Ward has been recognized as a model of a civilized urban area.
On June 26th, the People's Committee of Truong Thi Ward (Vinh City) held a ceremony to receive the title of "Standard Civilized Urban Area" for 2024.
Attending the ceremony were: Mr. Phan Duc Dong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee, and Chairman of the Vinh City People's Council; leaders of provincial departments and agencies; representatives from the 4th Military Region Command and the Provincial Border Guard Command. Also present were current and former leaders of the Vinh City Party Committee and People's Committee, along with representatives from various departments and offices of Vinh City; and officials and residents of Truong Thi Ward.

Unity and consensus in building a civilized city.
Reporting on the achievements at the ceremony, Comrade Ho Sy Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Truong Thi Ward - affirmed that the officials and people of Truong Thi Ward throughout the years have strived to unite and work together to implement the directives of all levels and sectors. In particular, many important criteria have been built to meet standards, such as urban planning, environmental protection and food safety; security and order; information and communication work; and criteria regarding employment, average income, and urban poverty reduction…
Within the ward, newly constructed public works adhere to planning regulations with harmonious architecture, ensuring compliance with construction standards and regulations. 100% of houses are solid structures that conform to the overall urban planning architecture. Public works in the area, such as Ho Chi Minh Square, Nguyen Tat Thanh Park, the pedestrian street, Ha Ma Temple, and the stadium, are managed, utilized, and effectively promoted for their cultural value and public benefit.

Model, green, clean, and beautiful roads have been created with a value of over 15 billion VND mobilized from the people for the period 2021-2023. Currently, the ward no longer has temporary or dilapidated houses. All 32 main roads in the ward have sidewalks, lighting systems, and trees. Over 90% of alleyways have streetlights, ensuring traffic safety, security, and order.
Businesses, production and trading establishments, individual producers and businesses, and households in the area comply well with environmental hygiene and food safety regulations. 100% of households have access to clean water and sanitary facilities. Security and order are maintained by law enforcement agencies. The crime rate, law violations, and traffic accidents decrease annually. There are no incidents of fires, explosions, serious traffic accidents, illegal street racing, or other illegal racing activities in the area. Truong Thi Ward has been recognized as a "drug-free ward." The ward's police force has been recognized as a model unit for security, order, and urban civilization, and is a model unit for implementing Project 06/CP.
The leaders of Truong Thi ward also affirmed the determination of all officials, Party members, employees, and people from all walks of life to continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, strive for creativity, constantly overcome difficulties, and work together for a rapidly and sustainably developing Truong Thi ward, making it a livable ward.
At the same time, we are determined to effectively implement the Resolution of the Ward Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, contributing to Vinh City's achievement of the goal of becoming the "Economic and Cultural Center of the North Central Region" as set forth in Resolution 39/NQ-TW of the Politburo on building Nghe An province.
Continue to maintain and improve the standards.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Tran Thi Cam Tu, Vice Chairman of the Vinh City People's Committee, acknowledged and praised the officials and people of Truong Thi ward for achieving many positive results in various socio-economic fields, helping to improve people's lives and striving to achieve the standards of a civilized urban area. In particular, the ward has been recognized as a drug-free ward, has a comprehensive infrastructure, and has received the support and satisfaction of the people, who have requested its recognition as a civilized urban area.
Truong Thi Ward was established on August 21, 1982. To date, Truong Thi is the administrative center of Nghe An province, with over 80 agencies and units located within its boundaries, and is associated with major cultural landmarks such as Ho Chi Minh Square, Nguyen Tat Thanh Park, and the pedestrian street.
Vice Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee Tran Thi Cam Tu also emphasized that Truong Thi ward has the advantage of being the central ward of the city, connected to many important agencies and units of the province, cultural works, etc.

Therefore, in addition to maintaining the achievements already made, the ward's collective needs to continue striving and uniting to improve the criteria for a civilized urban area. Cadres and Party members should continue to set an example and work together with the people to effectively implement the policies, guidelines, and laws of the Party and the State, contributing to building Vinh City into a livable city.
In addition, criteria related to information, communication, healthcare, education, and urban culture are ensured to be seamlessly implemented from the ward level to the residential blocks.


On this occasion, recognizing the contributions of officials and people of Truong Thi ward in building a civilized urban area, the Chairman of the Vinh City People's Committee awarded Certificates of Commendation to 1 collective and 3 individuals; the Chairman of the Truong Thi Ward People's Committee awarded Certificates of Commendation to 6 collectives and 9 individuals.
