Manchester United and Juventus have just reached an agreement for the transfer of Paul Pogba for approximately $121 million.

Pogba's transfer fee would set a new world record in football, surpassing the £110 million Real Madrid paid for Gareth Bale in 2013.

According to Goal, Pogba will sign a five-year contract with Man Utd. This will be the midfielder's second stint with the Red Devils. Previously, between 2009 and 2011, Pogba played for Man Utd's youth team and made three appearances for the first team.

To persuade Pogba to return, in addition to a record transfer fee, Man Utd also agreed to pay him a salary of $14.5 million per season. This figure is almost three times what Pogba earned at Juventus last season.

Pogba became a serious target for Man Utd after manager Jose Mourinho signed him. In a newly revealed tactical scheme, the manager quickly placed the French star in a starting position in central midfield, replacing Fellaini.

Pogba will be Manchester United's fourth signing since the start of the 2016 summer transfer window. Prior to this, manager Mourinho had requested the signings of Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
